Florence Meleo-Meyer

Florence Meleo-Meyer, MS, MA, LMFT has been a student and practitioner of meditation and contemplative practices for more than 45 years. Over decades, she has taught Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) and trained MBSR teachers and teacher-trainers worldwide through the Center for Mindfulness at University of Massachusetts Medical School, and the Mindfulness Center, School of Public Health, Brown University. 

Florence is a leading contributor to the development of best practices for teacher training in the growing field of MBSR and Mindfulness-Based Interventions (MBIs). For more than four decades, she has taught mindfulness to clinical populations, and to professionals in the fields of medicine, psychology, education, and business. She trained in MBSR directly with Jon Kabat-Zinn and Saki Santorelli and leads MBSR Insight retreats internationally. 

A student of Insight Dialogue with founder Gregory Kramer since 2003, Florence is a senior Insight Dialogue teacher and developed the Interpersonal Mindfulness Program and the Interpersonal Mindfulness Program training alongside Kramer and Phyllis Hicks. 

Florence is a coauthor of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workbook for Anxiety and contributor to Resources for Teaching Mindfulness, An International Handbook. A licensed family therapist, she lives in Massachusetts near her three married children and five grandchildren.
