David Orlinsky

After spending the first 15 years of his career as a practicing attorney, David Orlinsky cofounded NetJets, Inc., which was the largest private aviation company in the world before being acquired by Berkshire Hathaway, Inc. After retiring from NetJets in 2000 as vice-chairman and general counsel, Orlinsky expanded his work with nonprofit organizations, where he continues to offer his substantial business experience.

Acquainted with Omega since the 1980s, he became a board member in 2001. Along with serving as chair and as a former treasurer of the board, he also serves as chairman of the finance committee and as a member of the development and audit committees.

Since first reading a book by Alan Watts some 40 years ago, David Orlinsky has strived to bring consciousness to all aspects of his life. Through meditation and other spiritual practices, he continues to seek spiritual growth and understanding, and he works to help others do the same. Orlinsky currently divides his time between New York and Colorado, where he enjoys skiing and hiking with friends and family, including his four grandsons.
