The Journey Through Cancer: Healing and Transforming the Whole Person

RHINEBECK, NY - The American Cancer Society estimates that more than half a million people will die from cancer this year. Today, millions of people are living with cancer or are in remission. Being diagnosed, choosing a treatment plan, and dealing with the effects cancer has on all aspects of life, can be overwhelming. Omega Institute is offering a workshop to help people with cancer transform their journey into one of hope and healing. Dr. Jeremy Geffen will teach The Journey Though Cancer & The Seven Levels of Healing, October 5-7, 2007 on Omega's Rhinebeck, New York campus.

"Here at Omega we are committed to a holistic approach to healing and are honored to have Dr. Geffen on our campus," said Carla Goldstein, director of External Affairs at Omega Institute. "Dr. Geffen educates people about conventional and unconventional treatment options, while also emphasizing ways to embrace the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of healing," concluded Goldstein.

What is the most conscious, empowered, and comprehensive response to a diagnosis of cancer? And, how can such a response be accomplished in the context of modern medicine and modern life? Dr. Geffen addresses these questions and other concerns by illustrating seven critical areas of inquiry and exploration encountered by everyone on the journey through cancer.

"My workshop, The Journey Through Cancer, gives patients and their loved ones a comprehensive way to fight cancer with mind, body, heart, and soul," said Dr. Geffen.

This is an opportunity for people living with cancer, their caregivers, and health-care professionals, who need help sorting out the wide range of treatment and healing options. To register please call 800.944.1001 or visit www.eomega.org
